Majlis Perbandaran Manjung (MPM) will hold Program Pemutihan Pengubahsuaian Bangunan dan Binaan Tambahan Unit Kediaman to solve construction matter and renovation which are not following rules from MPM. The execution of this program will be be held in stages for 4 years that starts from 1 December 2016 until 31 December 2020.


Thorughout the program, MPM will visit sites to investigate the renovation and addition to the resident’s unit in Manjung area whether already verified by the municipal.


For the renovation and addition to the premise in not approved area, owner of the premise will be given explanation on this program with Borang Aku Janji either to agree or disagree with this program. If the owner agrees to the program, MPM will handle renovation and addition plan with lower payment as compared to normal preparation through draw planner.  


Whereas, for owner who disagree with this program and construction on reserved lot, enforcement will be implement according to Seksyen 70 (11),  Akta Jalan, Parit dan Bangunan 1974 (Akta 133). If convicted, the owner may be liable to a fine not exceeding RM 25,000 and an additional fine of RM 250 for each day the offense continues after conviction.


In this regard, MPM calls on all premises owners to take this opportunity as their implementation provides a variety of benefits, including ensuring that all construction is approved by MPM as well as simplifying the process of buying and selling, bank collateral, insurance claims and so on
